You and your team must find out what has happened to the other Phoenix Project sleeper cells as you race to bring humanity back from the brink of extinction. You play as part of the Phoenix Project, a worldwide organization set in place before the Pandoravirus, and designed to activate in times of world peril. Those who somehow survived gather in isolated havens spread throughout the world, with several of the largest and most powerful factions of radically contrasting ideologies controlling most of the world’s resources. The fortunate majority were quickly killed off by the virus, but some were mutated by the aggressive virus, which attacks human DNA sequences and imbeds its own transformative DNA, thereby mutating humans into horrifically disfigured alien species with the ability to clone. The spread of alien Pandoravirus was an unimaginable extinction event, nearly wiping out all human life. Phoenix Point draws inspiration from a deep pool of talented developers from companies such as Ubisoft Sofia and Crytek Black Sea, and games such as XCOM 2 and X-COM Apocalypse. We’ll keep an eye if any issues arise from this update, but we’ll likely not have any new updates until next year when we start to share more details on DLC 5: Chaos Engines.Phoenix Point, which has been in development for over a year, is a turn-based tactics and world-based strategy Sci-Fi game from the minds of Julian Gollop, veteran designer of the original X-COM games, and David Kaye, the founder of Gaming Insiders. We are also working finishing testing on the Xbox One versions of this fix.

The PS4 saves (if present on PS5 console) would then be reimported to PS5 version of the game on start. If a player wants to reimport PS4 saves (and override PS5 saves, should they have any reason for that) the player has to delete their Phoenix Point PS5 saves from the system menu and relaunch the game. In either scenario, they need to do this before starting and saving a game on PS5 in order for that to work. If a PS4 system player changes systems to a PS5 to play that version, they will either need to copy their PS4 saved games over via USB or PSN+ Cloud. If a PS4 player upgrades to the PS5 version on a PS5 system, the PS5 version will auto-detect any existing PS4 saved files and copy (import) them ONCE to the PS5 version of the game.
